Ok…so it was only a matter of time until I got tagged.  There’s a little viral fun running around my circle of internet marketers….which is robbing me from PRECIOUS WORK TIME!

Bobbie Grennier, whom I thought was a friend of mine (JK), reached out and pulled me into this viral mess.  So what’s it all about?  Well, I’m supposed to tell you 5 measly things you may not know about me.

I will try my best to entertain and inform.  OK, here goes.

5 Things You Didn’t Know About Stephen Ralph

  1. I’m a Born Again Christian.  I’ll be launching some Christian based affiliate sites in the near future.
  2. I listen to Department of Defense personnel’s phone calls, cell calls, read their e-mails, pagers and just about any other telecommunications you can think of in my Operations Security job with the USAF.  No, you as a civilian are safe.  It’s against the Constitution and all that jazz to listen to your calls and read your e-mails so don’t worry about all the shady deals you’ve made. Besides the NSA does that!  =)
  3.  I’m afraid of sharks and I live in Hawaii, go figure.  No worries though, I’m working on this one….Scuba lessons!
  4. I love the outdoors and hike, fish, hunt, camp, snowboard, and 4-wheel in my JEEP whenever I can tear myself away from the puter.
  5. And lastly….for all you lady marketers I am now a swing’in bachelor.  Yep, it’s true.  I know you’ve all been waiting for this moment with bated breath so please e-mail your resumes, portfolios and most importantly your proof of earnings statements to: mydossier@top-affiliate.com  =)

 And there you have it!

Here are my blog tag predecessors. I was tagged by Bobbie Grennier, who was tagged by Linda Buquet who was tagged by Anik Singal who was tagged by Rosalind Gardner, who was tagged by Jeremy Palmer,

I am now tagging Scott Allen from The Virtual Handshake, Heather Paulson from ParterCentric, Jeff Phelps from RugJeff, Kenneth Mendonca from DentalPlans.com and Michael Payne from Partner Perform  Don’t let me down!

Google Testing Offline Adsense Advertising

Monday, December 18th, 2006

Well…here’s something VERY interesting.  If you haven’t checked you email yet Google just sent this out today:

"We’re excited to announce that we’re in the early stages of testing AdSense for Newspapers with a select group of newspaper publishers. AdSense for Newspapers gives newspaper publishers a new source of advertising revenue by connecting them with AdWords advertisers who want to place display ads in major papers across the U.S. If you happen to be a newspaper publisher interested in participating in future tests, please check out AdSense for Newspapers and submit your contact information."

I like this.  Why?  Because think about how convenient it will be now to launch your campaigns offline.  No more tracking down the best papers, dealing with editors, making submision deadlines and all that jazz.  I think this push will inject a HUGE revenue stream into the newspaper industry from online advertisers who never really promoted offline.

Although the paper industry has seen a steady decline in readership the past 5 years it will never go away.  How many times do you look in the classifieds with no intention of buying a thing?  Yep, me too!
