Undercover Profits Uncovers Adwords Profits

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

If you’re an affiliate marketer you’re probably using Google Adwords…and if you’re not YOU SHOULD BE!  Now there’s been a bunch of Google Adwords oriented software being released as of late.  Why?  Because quite simply you can lose your shirt with Adwords if you don’t know what you’re doing and don’t conduct proper research.

I’ve grown partial to my copy of Keyword Elite to uncover profitable niches for my Adsense content sites and PPC campaigns….but I’m always looking for other marketing tools to increase my bottom line and productivity.

Along comes Undercover Profits by John Jonas, which will hit the street at 12:00 EST March 27, 2007….or for the lay TODAY.  Undercover Profits basically tracks, monitors and records Adwords ads.  You can monitor thousands of keyword ads with Undercover Profits instead of tracking them manually.  If you see an Adwords ad for a particular keyword showing up for an extended period of time, chances are that affiliate is making money from that ad.

Yep, no brainer on that one!

Most affiliates already know this so is this is NOT a groundbreaking Adwords tactic?  It’s just common sense.  Once you know from other people what is profitable, it’s easy to go profit from it yourself.  Undercover Profits simply makes monitoring and tracking these profitable Adwords ads MUCH easier.

And Nope, this is not like the Rich Jerk’s Adwords software XRay Domination, which you probably got bombarded with lately.  The Rich Jerk’s software tracks your own campaigns, Under Cover Profits tracks Other Marketers’ campaigns so you know ahead of time what is profitable, before you even test it.

I don’t purchase virtually any eBooks nowadays but I love marketing tools and software.  I’ll give Undercover Profits a go if the price is right.  Anything that helps me increase my productivity so I can hike, fish or go JEEP’n more is A OK in my book!

Yep, that’s my JEEP.

Google Cost Per Action (CPA)

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Last week Google launched it’s own cost per action (CPA) revenue generating module in BETA format.  Google CPA has been in the works since mid 2006.  As history denotes though anything that Google pushes into BETA format usually soon comes into full fruition.

Right now Google is only making CPA or pay-per-action (PPA) ads available to U.S. publishers in its AdSense content network.  Publishers can run specific ads or let Google serve ones that perform best relative to predetermined topics, and they can review ads in advance to make sure the ones selected are suitable.

One of the most important features is that advertisers do not need to be signed up to the content network to operate CPA ads.  Limitations?  Well affiliates and publishers can not use PPC to promote pages where Google CPA ads are displayed.  Hmmm…we shall see how the Google "hawkeyes" monitor this one!

So how will this affect our beloved affiliate networks?

Obviously there will be a ripple affect when Google CPA picks up steam.  However, I highly doubt that ripple will drown major affiliate networks like Commission Junction, Linkshare and ShareaSale.  They simply offer too much and have a strong affiliate following.  Woe to the little affiliate network though if they’re not providing exclusive offers.

But….

All in all though you really have to remember that Google CPA is just measurable ads.  It’s not a traditional affiliate program where you can use banners, coupons, vouchers, cashback incentives, email templates or any other resource that allows affiliates to integrate a merchant into their site.

I’m game though.  Let the ad serving begin!

Amazon Inline Context Links Beta With WhyPark

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

As many of you know I’ve been conducting a long term experiment with WhyPark Domain Hosting to produce revenue from my parked domains.  If you’ve never heard about WhyPark and have a slew of domain names just sitting around you can read all about it over on my thread at the 5 Star Forums.

So far I’ve been very happy with my WhyPark results.  Currently I have about 80 domains parked using their service and have optimized them with Adsense, affiliate programs and CPA offers.  In an effort to squeeze just a little more out of each of these domains (without making the sites cluttered) I’ve been looking into using in text advertising to maximize each sites potential.

Although I’m fond of Kontera in text advertising, I settled with using Amazons brand spanking new Context Links Beta system.  The Amazon Context Links are a quick and convenient way to further monetize your content.  This is a great new feature Amazon rolled out!

Amazon automatically identifies and links relevant phrases within your page content to Amazon products by inserting a simple piece of javascript to your site before the closing body tag.  It takes ohh…10 seconds to install and you can manipulate the ad display from within your Amazon Associate backoffice.

Here’s a snapshot of my WhyPark site http://www.ColonBlows.com (funny right) using the new Amazon Context Links Beta:

So head over to Amazon and check out their new Context Links Beta system.  Who know’s, Amazon context links might be your new top performer.

Take care and God bless!
