Social Network Marketing by OnlyWire on Top Affiliate

Always on the lookout for new marketing tools and services I found a pretty slick tool that allows me to publish my blog posts and static web pages to all the major social networking sites.  It’s called OnlyWire (maybe you’ve heard of it) and I’ve been successfully using it for about a month now.

OnlyWire syndicates your content and articles to the web’s top social networking sites with a single button click.  OnlyWire makes it EXTREMELY easy to get your message out to the broadest possible audience in the shortest amount of time while improving readership, backlinks, search engine index speed and web-traffic.

Currently, the OnlyWire API is compatible with the following social networking sites:

  • ask
  • bebo
  • bibsonomy

  • delicious
  • digg
  • diigo

So how does this benefit you?

Obviously you’ll want to use this on your own websites but it also helps your listings on Top Affiliate.  When OnlyWire users visit your affiliate program page on the directory they’ll have the option to instantly publish your page across their selected social networking sites.  More exposure always means more traffic.

Is OnlyWire just another social bookmarking application?

Well….yes but the problem with many conventional social bookmarking applications is the time it takes to manually publish web pages to each social network.  They can only do one at a time.  Who wants to sit there and manually bookmark web content across 20 different social networks?  Not me! This means a good portion of web pages out there are never bookmarked, it’s just too much trouble.

So how much of a hassle is it to set up?

Registering for OnlyWire and setting up an account takes a little over an hour if you’re not a member of all the social networking sites.  Registering can be a hassle with some social networking sites but it’s worth your time.

So how much does it cost?

OnlyWire offers FREE and paid services.  If you select the free service you’ll have to:

“agree to add the OnlyWire “Bookmark & Share Button” on your website or blog within 24 hours or your bookmarking ability will be temporarily disabled.  The Button will immediately drive traffic to your website by providing your users the ability to simultaneously bookmark your content across multiple bookmarking sites. The Button also allows your users to share your pages via email with their friends and collegues.” – Onlywire

I purchased a year up front to use their automated content distribution for $24.99 but you can also pay a monthly fee of $2.99.  My time is worth a little more than $24.99 or $0.07/day if you want to do the math!

  1. I use OnlyWire for my blog and absolutely love the convenience give it gives me. It would take a very long time to submit to each of the social bookmarking websites individually. However, this tool only allows you to submit to 33 sites. There are hundreds of these sites available. Hopefully someone will come out with a tool that allows you to submit to all of them.

  2. Agreed Joey. There are still some great niche social networks out there that OnlyWire is missing out on. I think part of the problem is the misconception that automated services like OnlyWire promote spamming, and unfortunately many do. For this reason many mainstream API developers may be hesitant to release such a service for fear of a public outlash. Even OnlyWire was almost killed back in 2008 because of this until new ownership, with a MUCH more dedicated team, pulled them from the ashes. Now, OnlyWire is poised to possibly become THE bookmarking tool of choice for publishers.

  3. I also use OnlyWire for my blog and website, and it is one of the best tools how to bookmark posts or articles to all social media and bookmarking sites. It includes all major social media sites, and it will be hard for anybody to set up professional accounts with more than that. Each social media site requires to build relationships with other users, otherwise there is not point of them.

  4. Looks awesome tool. I am new to social media marketing. So this tool help me to submit my site in social networking site. Thanks for everything.

  5. This is a great tool! I also found an awesome reputation management and social media monitoring service. The affiliate program payouts are pretty sweet. The chatmeter is especially helpful for local businesses like dentists, restaurants, etc. Chatmeter tracks all social media mentions, customer reviews, local business listings, etc. They have a free and a paid service. Affiliates get paid on both free and paid sign-ups!!! http://www.chatmeter.com/partners/chatmeter_partners.php

  6. I was very impressed with this article. I had never heard of anything like this and I can see how it would send a whole lot more traffic to my site as young and old now belong at least one social networking site and as you say this goes out to most of them. The only thing I was wondering was if OnlyWire actually tell you how to add the “bookmark and share” button to my website, I am a newbie and I would not know how to do it myself.

  7. If you haven’t signed up to the various services it takes a while to get all the password and other information together, but boy is it great to simply add the link one time instead of sitting in front of social marker and going from site to site for half a day. Great way to get links and a boost.
