Marriot on the MoveMarriott on the Move is the official blog of Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites.  Bill Marriott stated that he started the blog as a means of communicating openly and honestly with his customers.  In his TV interview, Mr. Marriott stated that the blog had resulted in a $4 million increase in hotel and resort bookings.  

You can design your business blog in exactly the same way.  By providing blog content that is relevant and useful to the consumer, your business can stay ahead of the competition.  Using a blog to communicate in a way that is honest and transparent will go a long way in not only promoting your brand, but will also establish trust and credibility in the minds of the consumer.

Many large corporations just haven’t gotten the message about what a business blog should really be and continue to bore us with long corporate reports and statistics.  The ones who do understand blogging are certainly reaping the rewards.  If you have been wanting to blog, but just don’t have the time or don’t really understand how, just outsource it.  Either way, a well designed business blog will put you several steps ahead of your competition.
